VOLUNTEER WITH FAMILY PROMISE OF METRO EASTVolunteers of all ages are welcomed at Family Promise. Around the United States we help hundreds of families a year, and it would not be possible without each and every one of our valuable volunteers. You are our secret sauce! We have many ways for families, individuals, congregations, businesses and groups to get involved - - from craft projects, to financial literacy and resume building, to data entry, community outreach or helping to organize fund raising events. Age, skill and availability don’t matter – we will work to find the perfect fit.

Help Me Move In Auction Committee & Volunteers
Family Promise of Metro East has recieved a matching grant from the HUMI (Help Us Move In) foundation to start a fund to help our guests with move in costs. We have to earn the $20,000 matching funds. These funds can help pay application fees, deposits and other costs associated with moving into a home. We are having a online auction and need help. We need people on our steering committee, to help procure auction items and sponsorships and much, much more. If you want to make sure the families we serve have all the resources they need to regain housing, this is where you can make a direct impact.
Guest Services Committee
We want to make sure our guests have everything they need and a little more. The guest services committee is a brand new committee dedicated to helping source items needed for a new home, make sure kids have clothing for school, or help with birthdays and other important events and activities. Host Site Volunteer
Host site volunteers like you make it possible for us to provide overnight shelter, food and activities our guests. This can be donating a cooked meal, cooking for our families at one of our host sites, serving and cleaning up after meals, providing activities and hanging out in the evenings or spending the night. Hint: the last one is the easiest but sometimes the hardest to fill!
